Development Director

Once upon a time, in a land a few thousand miles away, Justin worked in Socially Responsible Investment Research, or SRI. Having spent three years working with multi-billion dollar clients, providing them with the best available research with respect to social and environmental issues of publicly traded companies, he realized that something was missing. About that time, he ran into Ethan McCutchen and discovered that perhaps what was missing was a comparable or even better tool, made freely available to the commons.

Armed with a background in Psychology, Economics, and French, by way of a surf trip to Brazil where he learned Portugese and traveled with shamans in the Amazon, Justin returned to the US to help his talented bretheren bring this tool to the people. Behold: Hooze.

NOBIS?

WagN.

Maybe something about the parable of the dude and the perfect circle -- who was that, Euclid?

Make a connection between simplicity of tools relative to the mastery of the artist and not detracting from the beauty of the work being done.

Word.

Here are some quotes that I'm using to inspire my approach to soliciting support for Hooze:

  • "Knowledge not used is abused." Cree saying
  • "A bit of the fragrance clings to the hand that gives the flowers." Chinese proverb
  • "Eventually, everyone sits down to a banquet of consequences." Robert Louis Stevenson

People who share common direction and sense of community can get where they're going quicker and easier because they're traveling on the strength of one another. -- Paraphrased from Great Northern Geese Lesson 1
  • "The beginnings of all good things are small." Cicero
  • "A certain amount of opposition is a good thing. Kites rise against the wind, not with it." John Neal
